Positive About Disabled

CounsellingOlder people can sometimes feel overwhelmed by loneliness, bereavement, depression or anxiety. Talking to a counsellor can help you to express pent-up feelings, or work through difficult and painful changes in your circumstances.

You may come to terms with realities that can’t be changed, or find new ways to take control of your life and move on. We have a team of qualified volunteer counsellors who can work with you in your own home or at Age Concern Brighton, Hove & Portslade.

All sessions are confidential and our counsellors work to standards set by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. We ask that clients pay a contribution towards the cost of the service, of between £2 and £25 per session. Clients choose what they feel able to pay – there is no means testing.

To arrange an appointment you may phone us or visit our offices. Once it has been agreed that counselling would be helpful a counsellor will be allocated as soon as one is available.
