What happens to the money we raise in our shops?
Profits from Age Concern shops go to help provide high quality services and support for older people in its area.
What do our shops offer?
Our shops offer a full range of quality clothing, books and bric-a-brac at reasonable prices to suit all income groups.
What do we need?
The shops each have their own managers and complement of volunteers. Our volunteers are the backbone of our service. We are always looking for more shop volunteers.
What is a shop volunteer required to do?
Our volunteers do many and varied duties which range from serving customers, sorting clothes, ticketing and pricing items, stock control, replacing sold display items. There is something for everyone.
What do we offer our shop volunteers?
We hope our shop volunteers feel part of an important team, providing a special service to help others who are less fortunate in our area. Volunteering is a great way to meet friends among other volunteers, chat to the wide range of customers who support us, attend various courses and training and join in the social activities we offer.
How much time do I have to commit myself to?
This will be by arrangement with the shop Manager
How do you offer your services as a volunteer?
Just call in at any of our shops giving your name and telephone number or ask for the shop's manager. We will contact you by return and you can be sure of a warm welcome.
